  • Short patch distillation is the process: the Vaporized molecules goes up from heating surface and reach the condensing surface as short distance as possible, condensing and achieve Liquid-liquid separation process. The distillation process is under the condition of high vacuum (<10Pa). When the distance between the heating surface and the condensing surface is less than or equal to the mean free path of the evaporating molecule under the operation of vacuum and temperature, the distillation process is also called molecular distillation.

    Distillation process (same as rotary thin film evaporator):

    The material first enters the rotating distribution plate, and the distribution plate will distribute the raw material evenly to the vertical cylinder heating surface. The material will decline by gravity, at the same time; the raw material will be scraped into film evenly by rotating scraping device. The vaporized light component steam goes up and condenses from the upper outlet into condenser, while the non-evaporated portion is discharged from the bottom of the rotary film evaporator.

    • Open scraper system, small pressure drop
    • High heat transfer coefficient and higher evaporation efficiency
    • Short heating time, low evaporation temperature
    • Have strong adaptability, flexible operation

    Main features of structure:

    • High precision transmission and mechanical seal design, to ensure the smooth operation for long time
    • Processed by whole evaporating cylinder molding, without intermediate flange connection;
    • The cylinder surface is much smooth and clean, no easy to paste. Degree of smoothness for fine grinding surface can reach up to Ra0.8μm; Degree of smoothness for special polishing surface can reach up to Ra0.2μm;
    • With unique demister structure, can effectively prevent the steam entrainment;
    • unique liquid distributor and spatter protection device, much better for discharge of high viscosity materials;

    Applications of Short path distillation equipment

    • Distillation, purification, concentration and decolorization of petrochemical and chemical products;
    • Distilling and refining for heat sensitive and easily oxidized chemical industrial products;
    • Distillation separation of high boiling point products, such as: Polyunsaturated fatty acids (oleic acid, linolenic acid, fish oil fatty acid) and Distilling and refining of derivatives (Monoglyceride; two polyacid; VE, phytosterol;)
    • Liquid crystal electronic waste stripping solution;
