The main motor drives the drum rotating at the full speed, material enter the centrifuge through the feed pipe and uniformly distributed filter wall of the inner drum. With centrifugal force, the liquid phase pass through the filter screen and the hole in inner drum wall to be discharged out from the drum, then discharged out of centrifuge through discharge pipe.
The solid phase is trapped in the inner drum to form ring cake layer. The inner drum rotates at the same speed as the outer drum; the inner drum will do continuous axial reciprocating motion and the pusher disk push the cake layer to the outside of the inner drum, then the cake layer will be separated further in outer drum and form ring cake layer, and the inner drum will push the cake layer out of the centrifuge.
